First Fruits is the practice of giving the very first part of what we earn back to God. This isn’t just finances, it’s ANY FIRST! Instead of waiting to see what is left over at the end, we give from the "top" of our blessings. Our church does this to show that we trust God to take care of our needs and to thank Him for being the source of everything we have. It’s a way of saying, "God, I put You first in my life," before we do anything else with our time or money.

It is the practice of giving the very first portion of your increase (crops, livestock, or income) to God before using the rest for yourself. It’s a symbolic gesture acknowledging that everything you have comes from a divine source.

To Acknowledge the Source:
It serves as a tangible reminder that you didn't gain your wealth solely through your own strength. It’s a way of saying, "I recognize that my ability to work and earn comes from a higher power."
To Break the Spirit of Materialism
By giving away the very first part of your income—the part that usually feels the most "needed" for bills—you prove to yourself that money does not own you.
The Principle of the "Consecrated Whole":
There is an ancient belief that if the first portion is "holy" (dedicated to God), then the rest of the harvest is protected and blessed. It's about setting a positive, sacrificial tone for the rest of your year or your project.

Historically, the First Fruit offering has been the vital cornerstone of our church’s ability to fulfill its mission. These gifts have empowered us to undergo critical renovations, invest in modern technology, and implement innovative ministry practices. Your generosity is directly responsible for the revitalization of our sacred sanctuary and the transformation of our children’s play areas. We are deeply committed to financial integrity, ensuring that every dollar is handled with the utmost care and transparency. Our goal is to make these investments public and tangible so that the impact of your gift is immediately visible. By giving your first, you allow our entire community to witness and feel the fruit of your faithfulness firsthand.
"And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy - just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as firstfruits is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too."
Romans 11 : 16 (NLT)
